Easter Weekend was such a blessing this year. It began with a Festival Latino put on by Bell Shoals Baptist Church. The day was full of yummy food, bouncy houses, cotton candy, Easter egg hunts, and, the kids favorite, a soccer clinic!

Strawberry picking- March 2012
Strawberry picking was fabulous this year! We picked close to 40 gallons of strawberries within 4 trips to the farm. We froze, canned, dipped in chocolate, and just plain ate most of them. Some we had to share, of course... :D

The weather was fabulous and the berries were juicy and big. The Thompsons went with us on one of our picking days. Josiah and Isaac are in the distance looking for the biggest berry, Jacob is almost swallowed up in the field, and Ben looks to be not walking on water... but strawberries... Fun!

Sophie especially had fun... Most of her berries didn't quite make it into her bucket!

We went home happy, dirty, and tired!

Praise God for sunshine, farmers, and "berry" full little girls...

Butterfly Surprise!

Isaac and Evie found a butterfly who had just emerged from her chrysalis! It's wings were still wet so they watched and waited...

Soon it began climbing a tree and decided to climb on Evie's finger...

We took it home to our garden where we have plenty of flowers!!!

Sophia's First Year
Here Comes Sophia!!!
In the wee hours of the morning on January 7th, 2010, Grandma, Eduardo, and Ginny take off for the hospital, nervously awaiting Sophia's welcome into the world, Grandpa stayed home with Josiah, Isaac, and Evie!
It was a very cold day for Florida, in fact, that morning there was "Florida snow" (frozen dew) on the rooftops...
Sophia arrived healthy and strong at 7 lb 6 oz, 19 inches long. She had lots of pretty hair and looked just like Evie! And just like her big sister, and big brother Isaac, it only took her 15 minutes or so to be born!
There couldn't have been a more proud papa that day. It was love at first sight...
What a bundle of joy, and what an honor to have Grandma there at the birth!
Here's our little peanut, soon to be nicknamed "poo poo", "Sophie Wophie", "Sophe", and many others names...
Sophie is a sweet, precious gift from Jesus. And to think they had said she had no heartbeat... She is our little miracle!
Soon 2 big brothers and 1 big sister came hurrying in, anxious to see their little baby...
Psalm 139:13-16
Taking turns holding our sweet little bundle, even Grandpa gets into the act, oh what a sweet day!

Evie's 7th Birthday!
Evie's 7th Birthday Party
February 19th, 2011
February 19th, 2011
Evie's 7th Birthday party was a magical event... About 14 or so girls, plus big sisters, baby sisters, and moms were decked out in their tea time finest to help celebrate this very special occasion. The air was fragrant of roses, and full of soft classical music...

During our tea time, the girls got to read some special Bible verses chosen especially for young ladies (thank you Annabelle!)

dxAnd be waited on by no less than 7 waiters! And how handsome they are! (Thank you Colin, Christopher, David, Daniel, Ben, Josiah, and Isaac!)

We pray the girls captured the meaning of the story and realize how precious and beautiful they each are... daughters of the King... princesses of God!

for babies... (Princess Sophia!)

and even moms!
For more pictures of the party you are welcome to click here
We praise God for our sweet Evie, and especially thank Him for all of our precious friends!
